09.15.15 – Eike/Price Wedding

Kirsten came to me as a referral from a previous bride and I am so glad she did! She is a very talented hair stylist – check her out here: Kirsten Marie Design LLC. We have gotten to know each other over the last year and work together on a few weddings and I am incredibly lucky to call her a friend.

Kirsten’s wedding reception was held at The New Bridge Restaurant in Warrenton, Virginia. If you are looking for an incredibly cute 3 story restaurant in a historic town with AMAZING food, be sure to check them out. I still can’t get over the portion size for the meal served to the guests… let me just say, not one person left hungry. After the reception, the party continued at Whiffletree Farm. A working farm with a super cute guest house that can be used for events and overnight stay. The property has a market there as well where you can buy fresh fruits, vegetables and meat all from local sources at great prices. The southern charm of the property created a perfect, laid back atmosphere where everyone was still able to enjoy each others company, all while being able to relax at the same time.

08.12.15 – Williamsburg Botanical Garden Promotional Shoot

What an incredible day we had putting together months of planning for this shoot! I will admit, when I threw out the idea of feathers and antlers I was a little nervous myself and even the day of setting up I was not 100% sure but as all of the details started to come together it was more perfect than we all imagined! We took a crazy idea, and turned it into one of my favorite shoots to date. I have joked that if I were to go back and do my own wedding over… it would look a lot like this. From pheasant feathers, to taxidermy mounts; thanks to my Husband for lending me use some of his most prized trophies… this shoot turned the Williamsburg Botanical Garden into a woodland oasis.

Can we talk about the cake for a minute… HEAVEN. When I asked Anna of Bella Cakes to make a naked cake with fruit on it similar to what we did for my son’s first birthday, she BLEW IT OUT OF THE WATER. We all could not WAIT to eat that cake and boy did we… with our hands! Luckily none of those pictures have made it into the public eye… yet!

What is event better about this shoot, is that almost all of these vendors are participating in our Two Rivers Wedding Giveaway wedding that will be held on July 10, 2016. We are thrilled to be working together again for a real life wedding and could not be more excited to have Shannon and Jeremy as our contest winners and we are eagerly looking forward to their special day this Summer.

Be sure to check out all of the amazing vendors from this incredible photoshoot and for more images click here: Williamsburg Botanical Garden Shoot

07.11.15 – Rathinasamy/Miller Wedding

Every 7-11 day deserves a slurpee… and just because you are getting married shouldn’t make a difference! What an incredible day celebrating Cynthia and Shawn. I was so head over heels with this cultural celebration and the weather was amazing to make the day absolutely perfect. The traditions, and family heirlooms, vibrant colors and AMAZING food really brought everything together nicely as two cultures fused together through love.

07.04.15 – Scimeca/Gibson Wedding

Jack and Laura were married on a private piece of land just outside Smithfield, Virginia. The beautiful James River views provided a beautiful backdrop to their July 4th wedding celebration. Laura contacted me a very short time before her wedding to help coordinate the ceremony to make sure that all of the pieces fit and fell where the needed to. I can’t take credit for any of the decor or set up, but I did snap a few images to showcase how beautifully it all came together.

If you are wondering what they are doing with a shovel… they buried a bottle of whiskey months ago in the ground to help keep away the rain… I’d say it worked!

05.16.15 – Myers/Nettune Wedding

I had the pleasure of working with Ashley and Chris from across the county. While they were both in Veterinary school out west, they let me help plan and coordinate their wedding on the East Coast. With the help of Chris’ mom in Texas and Ashley’s mom located near the venue, everything was smooth sailing! It turned out to be a beautiful day at Belmont Country Club in Ashburn, Virginia. The weather was perfect and their almost coast to coast event went off without a hitch! Both Ashley and Chris passed their programs  and were officially introduced as Drs. Ashley and Chris Nettune!

05.02.15 – Hamaways/Gallahan Wedding

I first met Zari at her Maid of Honor’s wedding in 2013. We immediately hit it off! Zari is full of life and happiness and it is captivating. Her zeal for having a good time and her beautiful smile make her someone everyone wants to be around! The best part is she is also a JMU Duke!
If you can’t tell from these pictures, her and Sean definitely know how to throw a party and have a good time. From their love of Jay-Z and Beyonce’, traveling the world and their wonderful family customs they tied into the event, it was a night full of love, laughter and amazing late night snacks!

02.21.15 – Paisley’s Root Two’tin Birthday

My sweet baby girl Paisley celebrated her second rodeo today… man, I do not know where time has gone. Thanks to Legends Grille in Newport News, Virginia, we had an awesome time celebrating our spunky little girl. To say we are blessed would be an understatement.

Custom painting from Big Woods & Back Water Silhouettes was a perfect fit for our celebration!10993071_849046618466940_3708501599716901359_n
